CSIR’s Data Intensive Research Initiative of South Africa hosts its annual coding school:   

From Monday, 27 March to Saturday 1 April 2023, the CSIR’s Data Intensive Research Initiative of South Africa (DIRISA) hosted its third annual coding school.

“The DIRISA coding school provides high school learners with an opportunity to be exposed to programming concepts early in their school career. This ensures that by the time they get to varsity, they are familiar with Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields and available opportunities in these fields”, said Dr Nobubele Shozi, Data Stewardship Manager at DIRISA.
